Background of SWEO
Sungbo-Women Empowerment Organisation (SWEO) started operation in 2018 and was formally registered as a company limited by guarantee (LBG) in 2019 with the Registrar General Department. Our core objective was to recruit women whose primary livelihoods depended on logging and sale of fuel wood and charcoal burning by mobilizing them into groups and engaging them with alternative livelihoods such as contract farming and processing.
To implement sustainable interventions that improves basic human needs for the vulnerable in society.
Eradicating poverty through economic empowerment to create, find and support programs that directly improve the economic wellbeing of women, children and physically challenged persons in the society through the collaboration efforts of other likeminded organisations while operating under accountability and transparency as our guiding principle
